All These Trade Ideas

The folks at One Center Court can't seem to be able to pull off any sort of trade that actually benefits this team and clears the logjam at SF. They've had over a year, and still havn't come up with anything. This team needs a shakeup, that's the one thing that's perfectally clear. So John, above and below this posts are some ideas to give you and your colleagues some much-needed inspiration.

Why make a move for the sake of making a move? Isn't that how Whitsett got us in trouble?

If we can package Ruben with any combo of Smith, Monia, and the Detroit pick for expiring contracts, then we gotta do it, but if we can't, we need to refrain from trading.

why refrain...this team needs a shakeup. If you havn't noticed, all of these trades either give us cap space, clear cap room or give us insurance in case Joel screws us-I have a gut feeling that he might. money talks...

if a trade does any of the above and/or puts our team in a better position than it was before I'm all for it.

We're probably gonna draft either Bargnani or Aldridge, so if Joel leaves we're fine. Also, trading our players for "cap space" gives us mabye 1-1.5 mil extra to throw at Joel. If he's all about the money, like you say, then it won't be enough. Now, I'm all for bringing back Joel, but not at the expense of our young talent, or our team leaders. (Yes, Theo counts as one, and no, Ruben does not.)

I agree with Kumar, Theo is a good player and a leader, but how often is he 100% healthy to prove himself as a leader ON THE COURT. Sure, he is a good leader on the court, but a man that is healthy only 2/3 of the season (every season) is not what we want. Trade Theo, Ruben, and maybe even Zach too if it is a good enough deal for us.
