L: Indiana Pacers 101, Blazers 69

Wow...THAT was ugly. This game gave everyone who wants to get rid of Z-Bo plenty of ammunition, seeing as he couldn't pass to save his life and took 19 shots and hit only 6. This team did not play like a McMillan team, and set a franchise low for team assists in a game with only 8. Hopefully, this game was a one-time occurance and not the beginning of yet another significant slide into a horrendous losing streak. I swear, it's like every time you think this team is beginning to turn the corner they pull something like this.

However, all this doom and gloom overshadowed a solid effort by Ha off the bench: 4 PTS, 3 RBS and 1 Block. Sorry, I figured we all could use a cheap laugh after a loss like this.

ok ryne im sure lance will end up kicking ur ass, but ill just start it for him. Tonight Zach shot a better field goal % (roughly 31.6%) than the rest of his team did (26.7%). He almost shot a franchise record (11) for offensive rebounds, finishing with 9. Proving that he may have taken a lot of shots, but he also created 9 more possessions for his team. Also 2.5 TO's is not a bad number for a 4 who touches the ball as much as Zach does. In fact premire 4's like Tim Duncan (2.53 TO's) and Kevin Garnett (2.26 TO's) average close to 2.5 TO's a game. You're right 2.5 TO's is a good number. I like it too. And lastly, Sheldon Williams is playing college ball where there are not professional level defenders to guard him. He can put up those numbers in college, but can he get those kind of statistics when he goes up against the big boys? That is still to be determined.

I don't need to defend Zach. He didn't have a very good night, but it's not like anyone else did either. Having ZERO defensive reounds is an indefensible stat though. At least he got to the line a lot. Teams are always going to have horrible shooting nights every now and then, but this one was beyond the pail. And by the way, does Juan ever play any defense?

hey uppercut congrats on getting mentioned on the Jarret Jack phone convo. I also just want to say that if any of the other Blazers would have made a shot last night the Pacers wouldn't have been able to tripple team Zach, and he would have shot a better percentage.

I had 2 questions asked on the Quick Chat, though I didn't get credit for my question regarding Jarrett and his confidence level as a Blazer vs. when he was at GT. It's all good though. Eric at OregonLive is mostly responcible for the traffic I get on my site, and a nice guy to boot, so I don't mind not getting all of the spotlight. That's how I spend the better part of my week, trying to think of questions to ask on the Quick Chat.
BTW Sean, congrats on getting a mention on TrueHoop. That takes me back to my young blogging days, about 4 months ago.

It's a mention of your little Pryzbilla campaign. I think Henry got it from the link on my site, but all the credit goes to you. Way to go. BTW, did you notice a jump in hits on Thursday? Sometimes when Henry links to my stuff I get a lot more hits, sometimes not so much.
