Milwaukee Trade Idea

Portland trades Ruben Patterson and Sergei Monia to Milwaukee for Jamaal Maglorie.

WHY: This is yet another trade that works well for both teams. The Bucks get Ruben, who can come off the bench for Redd and play lock-down defense. Rube can also start in place of an injured Bobby Simmons temporarily and gives the Bucks a top-notch 6th man to aid in their playoff run. They also get halfway decent prospect as a throw in as well. While the Blazers do not get any expiring contracts, we do get a quality big man that averages 10 and 10 with many good years left in him. Maglorie was an All-Star in 2003, and can come off the bench in Portland to back up at either the 4 or the 5. Acquiring Maglorie also allows us to trade Theo without the fear of Ha getting substantial minutes AND gives us a starting-quality center should Joel betray us and leave in free agency.

I like it. Getting rid of Ruben is my top priority.
