More Trade Rumblings...

These rumors have been floating around...

1. Outlaw (plus pick if nessecary) to Golden State for Mickael Pietrus.

WHY: They are playing Pietrus out of position at the three, since he would otherwise have very little playing time at SG behind J-Rich. They get a SF upgrade over Dunleavy who also has just as much upside as who they give away. Outlaw also has nice stroke, athletisim and can play defense. Combined with Baron and J-Rich, the Warriors with Outlaw would be a very dangerous team. The Blazers get a SG prospect with LOADS of potential who's tall, plays killer defense and can hit the outside shot. He has just as much upside as Outlaw, only he has shown marked improvement consitently.

2. Outlaw and Patterson to Golden State for Adonal Foyle and Mickael Pietrus.

WHY: Same as above only we swap a SF with a bad contract for a C with a bad contract. However, Foyl CAN rebound, defend and block very well and is starting caliber should we lose Pryz.

3. Three way trade: Atlanta sends Josh Smith to Golden State, Golden State sends Mickael Pietrus to Portland, and Portland sends Sebastian Telfair to Atlanta.

WHY: All the teams get what they need: GS gets a SF upgrade over Dunleavy, Atlanta gets the pass-first PG with potential they so desperately need, and we get a SG who's great because of all the above reasons.

Pietrus is a stud in waiting. He's worth 3 Outlaw's, but I can't see GS giving him up without something decent in return. I wouldn't consider Travis decent at this point. Taking Foyle might sweeten the pot, and even with his horrible contract, I'd still do it if we could get Pietrus. Not to mention the fact that after coaching guys at the brain farm, Montgomery might have a meltdown trying to explain things to Outlaw.

I agree with lance that Pietrus is worth more than Outlaw. I would not take on Foyle and that contract to get him.
