First Workouts Tommorow

The Blazers will hold their first pre-draft workouts tommorow and have invited the following players that are believed to be under consideration for the 30th or 31st pick. Thay are:

-Marcus Vinicius, F. Brazilian forward with nice offense and deadly three-point shooting, but horrible defensively. Would be nice because we can stash him inEurope for a few years before we sign him in order to let him develop further.

-Denham Brown, G. Clutch UCONN 2-gaurd with a nice all-around game...does everything well but nothing great. I view him as the Jarret Jack of this year's draft.

-Corey Belser, F.

-Chris Rodgers, G.

The two above have little to no chance of getting drafted by this team...look for them to be potential summer-laegue invites if they impress.

In other news, Bargani has said he only wants to play for the Raptors...this had led to immeadiate trade rumblings, most of which have us sending #1 and Darius to Toronto for Mo Pete and #5.

Has Bargnani said he actually only wants to play for Toronto? I know it has been speculated as a possibility, but i thought the only thing that was for sure was that Toronto assigned some Spanish guy to a front office spot.

no one is actually just gonna play for one team so no but now that the raptors have the first pick its a foregone conculsion that he will be a raptor. ok i love jarrett jack but he is NOT the steal of the draft. he went right where he should have gone. he was the 4th pg taken once right where he should have gone. JJ wasnt even part of any all-rookie team. The honor goes to Ryan Gomes the 50th pick of the Boston Celtics out of Providence. Now to add to that he started at his 2nd position: PF. He is a SF check any draft site and see what they add him listed as coming out of school

he's a one-dimensional role player playing on a crappy team without any other HEALTHY rebounders to take rebounds away from him...yes he's a steal but he's not gonna have the chance to be an all-star like JJ

sean i hate to a pesamist but JJ wont be an all-star. i hope i'm wrong and i hope he turns out to be gary payton (minus the 'tude) but its the same arguement as my boy ryan. JJ had a good rookie season for a crappy team
