Yet Another Move

Blazers acquire C Nikoloz Tskitishvili off waivers from the Pheonix Suns. Reaction/analysis as well as a great post on Kevin Pritchard to come.

I like this move (even though I stand no chance to spell his name right). We bring in a relatively young big who can spread the floor. Should do wonders to help our Summer League team.

Yeah-- it's a move that can't hurt, and maybe could pay off if the big guy finally has an awakening.

Sometimes a player with unfulfilled promise will blossom later for no damn reason... he IS only 23 after all.

And Tskitishvili was decent in NBA Live games. A 7 footer who can shoot? He's always open!

At the very least, if he shows even a lil' bit of sumthin' during the summer league, he could be a decent 12th man for cheap (we need a big dude more than a Dickau).

Hey, he's a former lottery pick from just a few years ago who hasn't had much of a chance to play. Maybe that's for a good reason... but maybe he just wasn't in the right situation.

Although Pheonix waiving him, when a big guy who can shoot should be what they'd want AND Pheonix's coach used to coach him over in Europe... well, that's really not a good sign.

Hope he can at least be tall and take up space!
